The Grand Jamia Mosque, located in Sector C of Bahria Town, Lahore, is recognized as the 7th largest mosque in the world, making it one of the finest and most iconic construction projects undertaken by DCC.
The project began in September 2010 and was completed in October 2014, covering a massive area of 277,000 sq. ft. The mosque features 165-foot-high minarets, which required completely re-engineered steel fabrication and installation with individual foundations.
The construction also included the main dome spanning 24,000 sq. ft., along with 16 smaller domes covering 18,500 sq. ft. Complex arches were designed and constructed using a combination of bricks and steel, adding to the structural and architectural challenges.
